CHAOS ERUPTS AT PRESS CONFERENCE AS FAMILY SPOKESMAN TARGETS GRIEVING FATHER IN TEXAS STABBING CASE

DALLAS, Texas — Tensions flared during a press conference Thursday as DOMINIQUE ALEXANDER, spokesman for the family of KARMELO ANTHONY, clashed with JEFF METCALF, father of the late AUSTIN METCALF, who was escorted from the event before it began. The incident unfolded as the Next Generation Action Network, led by Alexander, addressed the ongoing case involving Anthony, who is accused of fatally stabbing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas, on April 2.

Jeff Metcalf confirmed to Fox News Digital that he was removed from the press conference under the threat of criminal trespass charges. The Dallas Police Department stated that the individual left without incident, and no offense was reported.

Anthony, who faces first-degree murder charges, was released from Collin County Jail after his bond was reduced from $1 million to $250,000. The press conference aimed to address rumors surrounding over $450,000 raised on GiveSendGo for the Anthony family, with Alexander asserting that none of the funds had been spent.

The event quickly devolved into accusations of racism and bigotry. Alexander criticized Jeff Metcalf for attending, calling it “a disrespect to the dignity of his son.” He also accused conservative operatives of politicizing the case, stating, “What he has fallen into is the political operatives that want to make this thing a political thing of hate and yet bigotry and yet racism.”

Alexander further defended Anthony, highlighting his 3.7 GPA and criticizing the Frisco Independent School District’s decision to expel him. He subtly shifted blame to the district, suggesting the track meet should have been canceled due to inclement weather. “As a person who is the administrator of yet children, you are responsible for the safety of the children,” he said.

KAYLA HAYES, Anthony’s mother, delivered an emotional statement, expressing the toll the case has taken on her family. “Our family has been under attack,” she said. “Whatever you think, what happened between Karmelo and the Metcalf boy, my three younger children, my husband and I didn’t do anything to deserve to be threatened, harassed, and lied about.”

Alexander also commented on the role of Judge ANGELA TUCKER, a Black Republican presiding over the case, criticizing attacks against her as a reminder of the “Black struggle in America.”

Jeff Metcalf, in a previous interview with Fox News, emphasized that the tragedy was not about race or politics. “This is a human being thing,” he said. “This person made a bad choice and affected both his family and my family forever.” He described Austin as “the light of my life” and shared that his son died in the arms of his twin brother, HUNTER METCALF, who tried to stop the bleeding.

The arrest report revealed that Anthony allegedly stabbed Metcalf after a confrontation under a tent at the track meet. Anthony reportedly told responding officers, “I’m not alleged, I did it,” and inquired if the incident could be considered self-defense.

The case continues to draw national attention as both families grapple with the aftermath of the tragedy.
